Hi Again,
So, after some swing troubles, I'm working with the 90% weight forward drill while playing. I notice much better contact and ball flight but, it feel restrictive on both the backswing and the follow through. I fell like I'm not getting the shoulder turn we want and I'm not really getting any extension in the follow through. However, on the last hole yesterday, I got 180 yard drive with a 4 iron, with a slight draw and right in the fairway. I followed that up with a 190 yard 7 wood, pin high but, in the bunker just right of the green. I think I hit the 7 wood a little thin as it wasn't that high. The approach was a pretty consistent slope up to the green and I couldn't see the pin. It ran pretty good though! I don't really want to discuss how I finished this hole... 😣🙄
I will say this much though, In my last 3 rounds, I've chipped into the hole once each round, from the fringe, or just off the fringe, with an 8 iron bump and run! Thats fun!
After a round, I like to 'cool down' with a bucket of balls and the 90% weight/Straight arm drill would be perfect for this. To ensure I am executing the drill correctly, with my closed stance, weight 90% forward from the hips where should my clubhead be facing at the set up in this drill?
