As a person with limitations in my swing, I like the idea of pre-setting my hips in the setup.
My question is - are we pre-setting the hips but leaving the shoulders square to the target?? That appears to be the case in your demonstration, but I wanted to be sure.

I (63) was more successful by doing the tailbone to target- move because I could not do the hipbumb. For me it feels like presetting during the backswing.
Look at the holy grail-video in kfc.
Tom is away this week, but yes, you are correct. Setup square to the target with hips and shoulders.
