How do you know what angle to put the takeaway alignment sticks for different clubs ?
To get the angle correct, match the alignment stick to the angle of the club shaft at address.
Take your normal setup position with a golf club
You will then see the angle of the shaft
Try to match the alignment stick with the angle of the shaft that you see.
The shaft angle will be shallower (lower) with longer clubs and steeper (more vertical) with shorter clubs.

Tom, how far behind the ball do you put the alignment sticks for the drill
@pckellyjr - If you are referring to the single stick that represents the shaft plane for the takeaway, then it should be positioned so that the clubhead would touch the stick if you snatch the club to the inside.
