Just want to make sure I've got this right as it does feel a bit alien to me.
The loading of the weight onto the front leg in the backswing feeling.
Am I right to assume that the weight transfer is not a straightforward lateral move
but more of the feeling that the lead hip is rotating not only sideways but backwards as well?
Using the driver as an example with this odd (for me) feeling that my lead hip is moving away and backwards whilst my club is travelling in the other direction. For me the feeling is more torque and pressure across my chest resulting in definitely more power without have to do more noticeable movement.
Thanks Tom did watch this one at some ungodly hour this morning. Yup knee going down and leaning out rather than in. Of course going in makes things easier but I guess powerless. Forgotten about the tailbone this is a great way to think about it. Just one another note which maybe on interest. I followed your course almost totally with a 7 iron. Moved up and could make my longer clubs sing ( always into a net because of lockdown so have no real idea until next week but the feel is SO good. Anyway the shorter clubs down to the wedge with a full swing not quite so good. Thought about it had a cup of tea ( too early for beer) then it dawned why don’t I get my shoulder down more. I suppose in hindsight a bit obvious it worked. It seems weird because I’m much lower than before but picks the ball up so cleanly. When I play Monday for the first time I have one thought On the tee it’s called ABC
A arms meaning elbows Hogan style your vid was the one that triggered the whole thing S&T.
B backswing meaning weight shift and no cupping at the top.
C compact. This is a weird one I mean keeping my trail shoulder / arm into my side. I’ve been a KFC Winger for a longtime and it keeps me focussed on in to out. thanks once again.
