It seems I'm at the point where my primary issue is a weight drift to the trail foot, or I can feel the weight on the inside of my trail heel. It's a head-scratcher because I set up with at least 60% on my lead foot.
So I got to thinking about why this is happening. At first, I blamed it on my old traditional swing habits...."turn into the right side"....could be true...but then I started thinking about "other weight" components as the swing progresses. Upon looking in a mirror it hit me that my arms, with the club moving to the right and upwards, actually add weight to my right side. Hmmm. So what I did was a "pre-tilt" of my left shoulder at address to essentially counter-balance the arm/club weight as they move out and around my right side. Tom shows the pre-tilt in the video with the PGA player. It seems to have minimized or eliminated the rightward weight drifting. The trick is my brain "likes" to feel weight on my right side so it will be a constant battle to cure the old habit.
