I've been really focusing on 2.8 and crispy contact since my last couple of posts a couple weeks back. I'm getting to the point where I feel pretty decent about 6 or 7 out of 10. Crispy, feeling OK. The thing that's throwing me is that 3 or 4 out of 10 are completely off. My first thought was open club face, but then going right back to crispy and straight before and after makes me think otherwise. I'm now wondering if these are shanks, and that's why they're so violently off to the right. To try and combat this, I setup two alignment sticks in the T-shape for the ball striking part, and another two for the take-away, and it's helped some. I notice the rightward launching shots more when I try and add some acceleration to the half swings. My face angle control seems to go out the window whenever I try and use the right arm just a little more than the more casual but consistent first attempts at the 2.8 drill. I know that the advice isn't to move past 2.8 until you are confident you can do 9 or 10 out of 10 crispy, I'm just wondering what micro-adjustment I could possibly make to get there, as I've seemed to kinda plateau a bit on 7 out of 10. The answer could just be I'm not giving it enough time, I suppose 🤔
