Hi Tom & Everyone,
First and foremost, I have been playing golf for about 1.5 years; I am a late bloomer - began at 48. I LOVE the sport. I have been to a few sites and channels to improve my game, but in my opinion, nothing compares to Saguto Golf! Tom, you're doing an extraordinary job teaching golf as well as setting this site with lots of cool people to share ideas and experiences - thanks again!
I was hoping that I can get some input with respect to the 45-degree alignment stick to assist in the path down (not hit the stick, swinging under on the way up & down) to help turn that slice into a baby draw - I love the drill and see A LOT of results from it. My question is: should the alignment stick be roughly 45 degrees with ALL clubs from driver down to wedges or should that vary based on shaft length?
Any advice from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated! And thanks again to all in this community!!
James
Hi James,
I'm very glad to know that you are enjoying the school and this great community that your fellow members have created!
I used 45 degrees as a rough guideline for that drill. If you wish to dive deeper into it and really challenge yourself with the longer clubs, then set the stick up to match the shaft angle at address. Execute that successfully and you'll really be shallowing it nicely with those clubs, as is desired.
Thanks for your kind words, keep up the great work, and don't be a stranger here in the forum!!
Tom
