I can only take a random stab of a guess without seeing it, Bill. Does your lower body perhaps loosen up during the round, thereby enabling your legs and hips to engage and lead the downswing? It seems as though you may be all upper body early in the round, causing your downswing path to come across the ball from the outside and resulting in those straight pulls. For example, have a look at this lesson and drill on building in more lateral hip motion in the downswing. Perhaps this move kicks in eventually as you warm up but is completely missing at the start of play?
@Tom Saguto working on bumping the hips for and letting the body do the swing the set than bump and turn. Really feels that is where I need the work. Thanks for the lesson on sliding the hips.
