Okay. I'd still suggest reviewing the shanking video as there may be some information in there that you might be able to apply to your driver (and occasional range wedge shank).
@Paul Saulnier - First of all - and this may sound silly but you'd be shocked if I told you how often I see this at the beginning of a lesson - make absolutely sure that you are not addressing the ball towards the heel side of the clubface! You can do this with two alignment sticks bisecting the ball on the target line - one in front of the ball and one behind it. You can also have a friend check it closely from behind the ball after you assume your address position. A little less accurate given our side-on perspective - although still somewhat workable - is to tee up a range ball with the center stripe matching the target line and make sure that the center mark on your driver aligns with the stripe.
If you find that the center of the ball is aligned properly with the center of the clubface, then please have a look at this shanking video from the Crispy KFC Club section as that is closely related to hitting heel shots with the driver (or any club, for that matter).
I rarely shank an iron. I’ll shank a wedge at the range but only on the range.
How is your contact with the other clubs? And in your downswing is the club approaching the ball on an in-to-out path?
