I’ve been struggling with early extension for many years. I’ve been working on starting my downswing by sliding my hips forward as opposed to turning them as well as the load the trail arm drill. It’s definitely going to take some time for me to get the feel of it. My question is about holding the trail arm at 90 degrees until ~parallel before straightening to impact. What is the feel that you have? Are you consciously tightening the bicep in order to hold that angle? It feels very unnatural to me and seems to cause me to not swing with fluidity as I get all tensed up. However, I really feel like getting this right is key to my swing consistent and powerful. Are there any additional details you can provide or other drill suggestions?
