@Tom Saguto , if one were to not extend during downswing, I’d imagine there’d be a lot of topped shots or Mishits? I saw a video (not using this technique) where the instructor said if you keep that trail arm more flexed at impact, then you’ll have to do more of a mini squat to hit ball. (Again not taking the advice of that instructor)

@jon - If you've done such a great job preserving your centered circle to the halfway down point, why would you then wish to forfeit all those stored up benefits and sacrifice the ensuing ballstriking bliss??
Let's not focus on the consequences of not doing the prescribed motions; let's just do them, ingrain them, master them, and own them!!
In other words, one more comment like this and I'm sending you to the penalty box of the 90%Weight Forward/Arms Straight Drill.... In fact, you know what? That's not punishment. In actuality that's one of the best drills out there for a host of issues. So I'm not going to penalize you with it. I'm just going to assign it to you, and then you're going to say "Thank You, Sir Tom. That was blissful, indeed."
