Since my last V1 lesson I’ve been working on keeping my arms together and not early rotating (pronating I think) my forearm on the takeaway. As a result there’s been some weird things going on with my elbow on the downswing. I think whatever I’m doing is causing me to delay my arm from folding and my elbow to get too far behind me or being detached from my side. Is there anything you can add about the elbow in the downswing? I was studying Charlie here and trying to pick up something from him. his elbow is noticeably more towards his anterior

Hi Taylor, that sounds correct with the feels you are experiencing - keep the arms away from you and delay the fold. Previously, your trail arm would fold too soon causing a lead arm breakdown (leading to a steep downswing).
I don't want to add too much in the downswing without seeing your progress with this new lesson, but the trail arm is allowed to externally rotate (meaning you can shallow the shaft with the trail arm in the downswing).
A key position which you highlight here with Charlie Wi is the club shaft in line with the trail arm (this is referred to as the "magic of the trail forearm").
If you can get the club shaft on that trail forearm at that position in the downswing, you will be hitting it crispy all day long.
I like the 90% weight forward drill for this reason (it seems to shallow the shaft naturally while you focus on the arms staying super straight), and the slice fixing setup (both are in the ball flight fixes section). These two videos greatly improve your swing path without having to make swing changes.
Let me know if this helps!

Oh and a totally unrelated side note @Tom Saguto This is my son Ethan. He’s decided to go with the Saguto Doo. 😉
