As @lagerg82 says, it's all about the Shot Shaping Grid. If your downswing path is good then this is all the knowledge you need to be able to curve the ball as desired. Any contrived effort to manipulate the hands and arms through impact breeds inconsistency, robs you of crispy clean compressed, and will cast you into the chasm of perpetual frustration.
anyone correct me if i'm wrong. Draw and fades are all done with the relationship of the club head being open/closed in relationship with the path. My personal opinion, the timing of this 'topspin' move is hard and takes practice, practice, practice. and yes, it's risky. Just think of the timing precision needed.
Thank you. I was under the impression that the inside out around the body type of swing resulted in a draw if done properly and no pronation was needed. I don’t recall Tom advocating for pronation and feel, perhaps wrongly, that he discourages it.
