Forum members, has anyone had problems with controlling the club during drill 2.9 with the alignment stick inside your grip and along the club shaft? I seem to be losing control of the clubhead around the impact zone and my grip seems not secure. Usually when I feel the grip move I'll hosel (shank) the ball pretty bad. When I can keep the grip secure I have been able to complete the drill OK. Maybe this just takes practice? I measured the diameter of the alignment stick - it's about a 1/4 inch. Just curious if anyone has encountered this problem and maybe has an idea on an adjustment fix. One thing I did not see on Tom's video is how exactly he was positioning the stick relative to the shaft - below, above, or to the side? I have also done the drill without the stick with what seems to be good success keeping the trail wrist/arm angle to the end, and getting straight shots with crisp contact.

To fix the grip issue, I duck tape the alignment stick to my club on the under side of the club shaft. That way I don't have to fight holding both shafts secure. I just grip the club like normal and swing away. Give it a try!
