I‘ve paused myself on moving forward with the lessons until I can master the 2.8 drill but for some reason it’s just not clicking and I’m losing confidence in learning it.
1 out of every 5 or 6 shots I hit the ball smoothly but for some reason the others I’m hitting the ground behind the ball and chunking it.
I emphasize weight forward along with hands inside the lead thigh. Tilt, turn, extend and still hitting the ground.
I filmed my swing from the front and behind -only thing I could notice is my head is moving down and forward a bit. My swing is also very flat.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
@Tom Saguto Will do! Thank you. Whats the best way to sign up for a V1 analysis? Through the phone app? I’d definitely like to get one.
@CTgolfer1464 - The head moving down and forward is a clue that there's a deficiency in the extension component. Very common. Please review this lesson. If you're still experiencing issues after that, I suggest trying the 90% Weight Forward/Arms Straight Drill to stop your low point drift and shore up your impact.
Beyond that, you can always arrange for a V1 Analysis so I can put my eyes on your swing and offer some very specific observations as well as a lesson plan to get you over the hump and on to the next level.
It is my thought reading this “old” habit left arm not staying straight. AKA chicken wing. That is what I have found causes my ground before ball problems. If you have video look for that happening.
I am also still on 2.8. Been about 2 weeks.
