Does this apply to the driver as well? Obviously not the divot part but the part where the right wrist is in that V shape all the way through the swing. Thanks!
Yes - you can work 2.8 all the way through the bag. It will go a long way towards ingraining the proper motions and connections, and it will beat down those ghosts of swings past that want you to actively roll or flip your hands through impact. Just ask @burkholder.ronald, who just shot 75 while only using 2.8 for the entire round! (You'll find his testimony about it near the bottom of this comment thread.)
Cool, I feel myself having to focus on keeping my right wrist in that position all the way through. I finally figured out that my wrists were flipping before contact which was not allowing a divot as well as hitting thin shots. Is that normal to have to concentrate on having to keep that position all the way through the swing?
@spillup24 Yes - absolutely it is, especially for golfers who are transitioning from a swing in which they rolled or flipped through the zone. You will build in the feel over time, at which point you will notice your wrists unhinging correctly and at the proper time on autopilot (without any contrived manipulations at impact). Trust it, work it, and let your ball striking be your guide!
