@tomhayes188, @Russell Hogue, PhD has had them longer then I have. But totally agree. It covers all parts of you game and it is easy to get use to.
I have a Garmin Watch I use for distances. I have the link for the Arccos so I don't have to keep the phone in my pocket. I haven't used the smart caddie portion of it at all. I pretty much let it collect the data throughout the round, on occasion will glance at it to make sure it is staying up to date. But haven't even done that much anymore, it is pretty dependable.
When I am done with a round letter when I get home I will review the round on my laptop and digest the info. It has taken my handicap down 5 points this. Although I can't give it all the credit.@Tom Sagutos awesome online school and this forum is the big contributor and motivator.
And no matter what tool you incorporate, you still have to put in the time and practice.
I have had a blast this year and enjoying golf more than ever before. And Arccos has been a part of my tool box and will stay there just like this school and forum.
And FAR and AWAY this school that @Tom Saguto has put together with this forum and his genuine caring to see players reach their potential and have fun is by far the best bang for your buck you will ever have in your toolbox!
@Steven really good feedback. I am probably at the end of using Arccos. I decided to change grips to the Jumbomax Ultralite XL’s and they don’t have the spot for built in sensors. It’s possible I will buy another set of the screw in version.
I really thought about getting a different gps watch. After reviewing all of them, I decided that there were just too many advantages of Arccos on the applewatch and especially since I know how Arccos calculates “plays like” distances with variables like barometric pressure, temperature, wind, elevation…it’s pretty good, plus with 6 or so years of my shot data, I could use the smart caddie. Truthfully, I have reached the level where I never really pay attention to its recommendation.
last few weeks, I have been experimenting with different tech. I have been testing the sky caddie SX550 (in a holder on the arm of the golf cart along with a laser range finder.
