Hello all, ive been having some issues keeping my balance lately, falling forward or back at times. Keeping my weight forward not swaying seems to be a challenge at times. Would appreciate any input or drills to help with this, thanks!
MASHED POTATOES AND CRISPINESS TO ALL !
@Rob Brugnoli be sure you are swinging within your ability to maintain balance. Usually that is around 80 to 90% of your max effort. While you can swing faster, that doesn’t mean you should. Any clubhead speed gain is most likely to be more than offset by the loss of centered contact on the clubhead.
That said, you can increase your ability to maintain your balance by increasing your core strength. There are exercises you can do for this if you are so inclined.
@Rob Brugnoli - Have you worked through the two-part 90%Weight Forward/Arms Straight Drill? It's not an easy drill, but it is very effective and should help you to resolve your balance issue, so be sure to spend sufficient time to properly learn, execute, and master it. You'll know you're doing it properly when impact is consistently crispy, divots are occurring past the ball, and ball flight is a repeatable little push-draw.
