Well thought I would share a slight change in things. But think it will be good overall. Like I said in earlier post, been trending in right direction for most part. And best rounds have been in my match play rounds. But been struggling last few at certain times and know it's focus and fatigue.
I know we can never get enough golf. But, I do have a physical delivery job that keeps me in good shape but still a chore over the course of week for this soon to be 66 yr. old. Short delivery drivers & vaction time with other drivers been working extra & keep Wednesday clear for league play. But do believe I am suffering from fatigue and burnout. Just can't keep the lazor focus and been a hassle trying to schedule match play events around work schedule.
Daughter complaning hasn't seen enough of me. So like play your "Best Golf Now" & "The Unstoppable Golfer" talk about balance in your game, it is also needed in your life or IT WILL affect your game. So going to have her and husband and grandkids over for some pool and BBQ time and get a balance back in life and golf.
So, decided to withdraw from both match play divisions (hung it up on top, undefeated LOL) and just play league and if before I head to MBWA can get a few extra rounds in at my convenience without the stress I will get them in. In the past when this same situation happened I cut back in play and actually played better and scored better. Trying to burn the candle at both ends and in the middle also taking it's toll. Have ample rounds left to get it right for year end finals and MBWA. Up side is with handicap increasing will be in my favor for year end finals, not sandbagging though.
Pluses, getting real sharp with Cleveland Wedges ball checks up nicely and distances right there. Know when you are pitching and chipping and getting them in the 10 ft. range and are not satisfied with that someting is going good.

i'm with ya...I could play everyday but that wouldn't be healthy. I make it a point to be productive on non-golfing days. Spend time with the wife, do things on 'the list'. This eases the 'golf guilt'. I enjoy the game more because I know my other priorities are taken care of. and again, it's just golf. ;)
