I just wanted to share with you that after signing up last week. I shot 89 and 88 this weekend. First time ever! I generally shoot anywhere from 93 to 100. Hit a 9 iron fat once and that was it. I hit a couple thin but at least they were straight ad went up the fairway. My big high slicing drive was gone. Now they are lower penetrating drives. Hit my longest ever at 282 yards.
I still have NOT gotten a divot which annoys me. I am going to try the 90% forward tip. I must not have my arms straight at impact. It's the only thing I can think of. Anyway, awesome stuff. I am a believer!
This is getting a bit tedious, @spillup24. How about making a few more putts and throwing an 86 up there next time out??.....🤣
Seriously, considering what you were typically shooting previously - and given the fact that you're still in the process of learning the swing basics - I'd say this is quite the fabulous streak you've got going here!! Well done!!
Thanks for the kind words. Keep doing what you're doing, and have fun out there!!
So I shot my 3rd straight 89 on Sunday since joining. Odd that it’s three straight 89’s but I will take it! Also, my highest GIR ever at 39%. @Tom Saguto I want to just give you a shoutout. I have followed a lot of pros and their methods and tips and you are the first person that has actually been able to make the golf swing make sense to me. Thanks man and I look forward to improving more and more
Thanks Tom...I recently convinced two of my relatives to join the on line course.
Hello fellow Saguto Golf members,
Took my third lesson (live) with Tom at Litchfield a few weeks ago. At the time my scores were inconistent in the range of 77 - 86. I am 71 yrs old and have played golf for over 50 years. I went to Tom about a year ago and also signed up for the online lessons. I have been working on changing a conventional "shift" swing for about a year. My goal this year was to shoot my age....71...yesterday I shot 70 (two under par). I am just sharing this to let you guys know out there that the system works !! It takes time and patience.
I've had some great rounds to start with and then shot back up to low, to high 90s. Kept trying to understand why. Today I had some so so shots on the front 9, ending up with a 50. Realizing that I was swinging my old swing, so I concentrated on shoulder down. Ended up with a 43 on the back, with 5 pars. What a difference it makes.
Congrats!! It’s a great feeling to set personal best! Don’t get to frustrated just stay the course and continue the lessons. 282 is nuked!
