I actually have a question for everyone. Normally we try to strike the ball and then divot after the ball position. If the fairway is super soggy (everything plugs) then compression into the ground is not as effective. What changes do you make in order to get the best wrath of God shot?

Thank you Tom! This is great to know because when I have run into this I would make a mental thought that I needed to sweep the ball and yes it would change the dynamics and I would get many bad strikes! Thanks for the advice!
Great question, @Ken Dietrich! I'll be interested to see other responses. For me it's all about recognizing that soggy conditions provide minimal - if any - forgiveness, so this means ensuring that our swing stays centered with no head movement, because any little measure of sway is going to be magnified exponentially by the softened ground. I do not alter my weight distribution or ball position, because either or both of these change the dynamics of my swing.
