I am looking to install new grips and according to several measurement technics I am right between standard and midsize. Do you recommend moving up to midsize or stay with the standard? Thanks in advance for your help.
I had the same type issue. I redo my own grips…no sure if you rebuild your own grips but here is what i did to find out what felt best to me. I used the attached grip chart and built up a 7i to the number of tape layers to make it +1/64th to start using buildup tape, only one side had adhesive. Then i blew on the grip (think golf pride had a 30 psi max.) then i i gave it a whirl. Came back and removed the grip by blowing in the hole at the top of the grip and it came of quite easy. Anyway i ended up removing it and putting it back on 4-5 times playing around with number of layers i put on the lower part/upper part of the grip. Not sure if this is too much effort for you but thought id share.
I would lean toward a larger grip for the benefit of being able to keep a secure grip without so much effort that the forearms get so tight you can’t use your wrists properly.
I also suggest, as others have, to regroup one club with a midsize grip and see if it works well for you.
Another option is to use a regular size grip with extra wraps of tape or add extra wraps of tape to just the area that the lower hand uses.
I got fitted for some irons last spring and went with the midsize. Try a club or two and see what you like. You can also get a standard size and build it up with several layers of tape if you are 'caught' between sizes... Grips are an easy diy project.
I would try it on one club and see if you like the midsize. I changed all of mine over to midsize and over time have now changed them all over to mid size plus four (which means the grip is thicker all the way to the bottom of the grip for my trail hand. I wear an XL glove and this feels best for me.
@jenisedog - I wish there was a simple answer to your question. At the end of the day you’re goal is to make sure the club is secure in your hands.
FYI… Not all grips are made equal meaning different brands will be different sizes. So standard really isn‘t standard.
My suggestion is find what brand and model grip you like. If you like your current brand then go up to a midsize if you have been playing standards. Otherwise I figured you wouldn’t be asking the question to begin with.
No measurement whether it be hand length, finger length, glove size, or finger palm gap can replace how the grip feels to you. If you don’t like the feel, you’ll always have that in the back of your mind when you’re hitting poor quality shots.

@jenisedog - Is it possible for you to try before you buy and see what feels/performs best for you?
If not, my next questions would be:
1) Do you tend to flip the club through impact?
2) Do you ever sense that your grip is not secure at any point during the swing?
If you answered yes to one or both of these, then I would lean towards the midsized grips.
