@Tom Saguto I have a question about your flying wedge concept. I have watched the drill #6 video and see real value in it. However, Ryan Young, my STL area S&T instructor who I saw yesterday keeps telling me that I am forcing my hands too far forward and that I need to feelthe club rehinge by the time my arms are in the horizontal position. From the photo of you below you can see that your wrists have not rehinged. I know this is a drill and feel is not real, but I would like to know if you think I should be working on the rehinging of my wrists post impact.
I was so looking forward yesterday to showing Ryan how well I am hitting the ball after working on your drills, but of course I got nervous and hit like crap. Before that I had been hitting the ball so well and was super stoked about my game. So all he had me do during our 30 minutes was to work on the L to L drill. As I mentioned in a previous thread I know that relaxed arms, hands a wrists and allowing the club to naturally rehinge a the end of the swing produces great results, but yesterday I could not relax and was hitting a lot of ground ball shots.
I had Ryan about you at my last lesson and he admitted that he was not really familiar the Captain of Crispy Contact. In the meantime he Googled you and was impressed with your methods and your videos. He now knows you are a legit S&T instructor and likes what you are doing He said that your 2.8 drill is what they call the hip drill and that no pro golfer really ends up in the positions that you demonstrate (again perhaps another case of feel not being real?).
Any thoughts about my next steps? Would it make sense to keep the wedge past impact but then focus on moving the wedge to the lead wrist by the time you are horizontal with the club. (Sorry, I don't know all the "P" numbers).
Thanks!
PS when you get the virtual lessons launched it will be much easier for us to discuss this and other topics!

You have a video for practically every possible question and it sounds like you will be adding even more great videos with the lauch of the revised site.
I can't wait to try and mimic a left handed pitcher as depicted in this freeze frame from Drill #8. Unfortuantley it is raining right now. I am 95% confident that is going to really help. No flipping but allow the wrist to rehinge toward the end of the swing.
I will keep you updated on my progress,
@rcissell56 - You'll be able to master the "p" numbers in the upcoming new version of the school.
The FW drill is designed to crisp up impact and eliminate any ingrained tendency to flip or roll the hands through the zone. You can play good golf using just that drill swing. In an actual full swing you will still maintain the FW through impact and beyond - as per the S&T book excerpt below - but you won't force yourself to hold that "punch-like" abbreviated finish. Instead, there is a "release", or an unhinging of the wrists - for example, as demonstrated in this YT channel lesson - and a rehinging into the finish. Have a look at the two Training the Downswing drills beginning with this one.
