But the head influences his extension (pic 3-4) and his spine angle. Kyle is beginning this, so it make sense to avoid unnecessary moves that can harm his game. Fleetwood is a great pro and able to do his swing successful.
My thought is if his head rotates back "a little", not a lot, say an inch or two, but he keeps it there through impact (not keep rotating back....then not rotate back to center on the downswing), then it wouldn't be a problem. I think you're pointing out that his head is moving in concert with his shoulders which I certainly agree creates unnecessary movement.
As for a little head turn, it seems to me it's not a problem PROVIDED one keeps their head in a consistently stable spot on the downswing. Fleetwood moves/turns his head to the right but it stays "nailed down" from there all the way through impact.
Have a look at the reference swing D2 of Charlie Wi at the end of the first course analyzed by Tom.
Check the takeaway, your clubhead seems to be quite high and in front of your body. Your headaction is like that of a friend (former field hockeyplayer) hitting with his 3 wood 300 yards. I prefer a head without moving to avoid moving the shoulder center (sternum).
On the frontview your left knee turns back to the ball.
At adress you should have your hands near to the left tigh. On the video it looks like you have the hands more to the middle and the ball close to the right foot. But this can shown wrong using the fisheye.
Thanks! I’ll check it out charli wi 👍🏻I’ve noticed the same thing in my takeaway, i might not have enough turn early on. I’ll see what it take A little head turn is something i’ve always fought. Always comes back too after i work on it. I’ll keep at it thoughFor address, the front view camera is a little delayed. Thats why it looks like a weird address position, but i actually already started the swing when the video starts. My hands start at left thigh, with the ball one club-head width back from my lead foot
@Rudi (from Munich) Wow, does Charlie Wi ever have a good swing. I was able to upload his video to my golf app and analyze it. Should have done that a while ago
So, I'm looking at your face on video and you do not seem to be stacked properly. Your upper body seems to be leaning toward the target. Your lead foot, hip and shoulder should create straight line, "the wall" as we know it.
With the camera bing as close and as low as it seems, I think the perspective isn't really showing the movement of your head properly. You appear to be staying in the circle but, from the DTL view you can see your head moving a good distance toward the impact position on the back swing and then, back up again during impact. If you compare your head position in the 1st image to your 4th image and then your 7th and 8th images, using the top of your net, your head seems to travel up and down about a foot or more.
you get a lot of shoulder turn, a good deal past 90 degrees but, I think you're going beyond where your body wants to stop and your getting the added turn through the movement of your lead knee moving away from the target, allowing you more than the prescribed 45 degree hip turn.
It's kind of hard to really tell but you may also have a slight flip at impact.
I'd work a bit on your setup and get god and stacked. Then, work on keeping your head still. This is tough one, setting up with your head against the wall and practicing your swing without a club does help. I would do a few practice swings like that and try to lock in the perspective of your head being in one place, then step away from the wall and do it without the crutch, then step a little further away and do it some more with the club, rinse repeat.
Thanks Danny! I think i am good and stacked, the video just starts late from the front view when the club is about a 8” back from where it started.I’ll work hard on each of the other things you pointed out though. I appreciate you taking the time to look me over!
@Kyle S. - look at your “grid” you have set up. the inner angled lines are the hand path. That applies to the downswing just as much as the backswing. Insert the textbook driver swing below. See how Rorys hands move down and in. that’s what I mean.
Dont let me confuse you. The proper backswing should put your hands in a good spot to deliver the club. I promise it will all get better when you get the hip bump right.
Appreciate it Tom, i can do face on but it is as tight as it looks in the front. It’s a fisheye lens that distorts a large portion of the image, and is really only useful in a few positions. Still working on a solution lolWho would you recommend tagging as the regulars?
@Kyle S. Understood. It will be very helpful if you can figure out a way to capture the face-on. Or perhaps you can just do it the next time you're at the range?

I thought he is a marine finding a place for some golfswings on a battleship during 2. worldwar ...
I was wondering if I had too much Tequila when I saw the first set of pictures.😮

Wish to have your clubhead speed.
@Tom Saguto @Nocona Colt Abernathy
@danny @Nocona Colt Abernathy Let me have it lol
I love your indoor practice station setup, @Kyle S.!!
Nice capture of the various swing positions. Does your space give you enough room to get some face-on shots, or is it too tight for that?
Please feel free to tag some of the "regular" contributors if you don't receive responses to your post, as these can sometimes fly under the radar.
From my perspective, without getting into an actual analysis - which I must reserve for my V1 service - I see a lot of power potential in your swing!!
