Hello Tom and the Saguto community,
I consider myself a lucky hacker because even though I have been playing golf for over 30 years, I never stuck to any method or system. My best golf happened about 20 years ago when I had the time to play three of four times a week and developed a "feel" for my swing. Over the years, I have been able to play maybe 10 times per season when I basically utilize whatever "swing du jour" I brought to the course that particular day. Why am I a lucky hacker you may ask? Well, discovering Tom's approach to swinging and hitting a little white ball has convinced me to muster all the discipline and effort to improve my game. I bought a hitting net and I plan to put it inside my 10x20 storage unit so that I can practice the recommended drills. I think hitting into a net will be beneficial to me because I will not be focusing on how far I hit the ball, instead I will be focusing on developing a consistent swing that eventually I will take to the course. I dealing with a rotator cuff injury at the moment but once I get to the course later this summer, I would be tickled to death if I can be a bogey golfer on a consistent basis. That is my goal for now.
Thank You Tom for sharing a simple and friendly way to swing the stick.😀
Great stuff, @averea1352, and I truly appreciate your kind words!
Painful as I'm certain it is, you may find that your rotator cuff issue helps you in the near term to groove the lower body action without the upper body taking over and wrecking the swing. This could actually play out quite well for you in the long run; just don't hurt yourself in the process!!
(When life hands you lemons, gently peel the rinds to make some tasty limoncello!!...😎)
Cheers to bogey golf and beyond!
Tom
