I joined Saguto a couple of weeks ago as I was having a problem trying to find my swing using the covenetional method. I had been following Tom (fresh approach) for a little while and liked his style.
Then though practising some of the moves I was hitting the ball better, in fact a lot better but would not put the weight on the lead side at address as in my mind this is not proper golf. Things improved but still hitting slightly behind not bad just a bit clumpy. Then thought if I put my weight forward it might help and guess what it did with a bang. I then (thanks to Tom) learned how to rotate my hip putting weight onto the front side and now it all makes perfect sense. The interesting part is when I practise every day I firstly I need to think/rotate the hip onto the lead side otherwise it still wants to sway back to the trail side. This new rotation helps me crunch the driver big time where in the past always hit and miss.
My S&T experience has been created in my garden net as we've been in lockdown here for 3 months in England so first golf ever is Monday morning with the new swing if its anything like what I see in the net it should be interesting.
For sure I have a lot of Ghosts, but can't wait to pound them into submission with my new drive! Being a Lefty serial slicer we have some lovely houses close to the fairway on the 3rd which I must have been there biggest concern to them when I send off a bad one..... hopefully something of the past, however will go straight to the drill (thanks Tom) just incase.
