Do you hover the club off the ground before initiating the backswing? If you do, you need to address the ball with the toe of the club and then hover it. It will move it to the centre of the clubface. If you address the ball from the centre of the clubface and then hover, you'll always make contact with the hell or hosel.
I'm working on the same problem trying to eliminate shanking the ball. Several things that have worked are as follows. 1. Straighten your arms fully at set up to ensure you're not standing too close to the ball. 2. Make sure your weight is not shifting toward the ball on your downswing since this will move you closer and increase likelihood of a shanked shot. 3. Set up as if you're intending to hit the ball with the hotel, then make an adjustment on the downswing to realign the club face with the ball.
