I recently switched out all my grips for Jumbo Max Medium grips. I really enjoy the solid feel and I honestly think it has helped me take my hands out of the swing a bit. I still go left when they get active, but it’s a lot less.
Just wanted to hear Tom’s opinion on them. Thanks.
Have played Jumbomax str8 for the last couple years. Love them. They are designed to work With the arccos sensors.
There is a post here called what’s in the bag. If you haven’t already checked it out you should! In that post you will notice all of the different clubs and setups everyone has. Just like a driver or iron pick the grip that is comfortable for you and play with them. For me personally I give all changes I make to equipment one season to see how they go just to really be able to tell a difference
I tried the grips hoping that they would help also. I went to the range and hated them. The shock up the shaft was terrible. I walked off the range and went straight to the store and had new grips put on again. What a waist of money for me. I honestly don’t think grips will change your swing pattern. I thinks its more of a personal choice as for feel goes. This game is so psychological we are always looking for some advantage. Doesn’t mean they won’t work for you but Practicing as much as I can with minor adjustments will beat out equipment changes every time.
@harryjacksondds - Unless something has changed, Tom has no experience with them because I asked the same question a few months back. What he would say though is as long as they are improving your ball striking them go for them. They are definitely a good option to try for someone who has issues rolling their hands.
I actually tried some of the large size Jumbomax Ultralites. I think they were a little big for me, but I can see the benefit if your trying to imitate DeChambeau and setup on the impact plane. His swing isn't S&T though.
