Hello Everyone,
Wanted to say hello as I am new to the inline school and forum. Originally from Bklyn, NY out in Westminster, CO for the last 27 years. Found Saguto golf on YouTube and love the passion and real straight forward demeanor of Tom. Been playing before Tom was born and a video about pressing your knee forward rang a bell and was the exact thing I was taught at my 1st lesson back in1974! So I signed up for the year!
Right now I play in a men's league once a week in season from mid April to Mid September with a weekend 2 day 36 hole final at end of season. Although showing a 19 handicap only went above 100 once last year in limited play and have shot 2 80's and a 39 and finished a 4 hole stretch on last holes of birdie, bogie, birdie, birdie. I guess I was happy but realized this inconsistency was not unexpected. Considering I only played once a week and warmed up with a bucket of balls and putting green and a little chipping. Anyway decided to go all in and get serious like I did back in my high school team days. Dedicating to range practice every week separate from playing , alignment sticks and drills and looking forward to best and most improved season of my life and this at 64! FYI even with out the dedication was blessed in flight finals for 4 years of the 36 hole finals to finish: 2nd,1st,1st,4th.
Toms style and passion just clicks and looking forward to doing a video assessment with him and interacting with my fellow golfers here. Blessings all!
I took the F Train from East Broadway to the last stop. As a young girl I would sometimes just get on the train all by myself and go to the beach, unfortunately I could not recommend that today. Growing up when we did was much more safe and simple. You have good scores (80's are fantastic) that proved success and with your dedication they will get better. Sounds like you are having fun and that is what Tom stresses. Yes, having Tom in our lives is such a good thing. I just finished a few on line classes and am going to get ready to go to the range to practice my bend, tilt and turn. I was successful yesterday more so than I've even been and thought I should retire, afraid I won't be able to repeat it again but I will try.
Hi IMC!
Oh the memories! Coney everyday when I was a boy with family taking the N train to the beach and on Tuesday's staying till dark to watch fireworks put on by Schaffer Beer!
Manhattan beach was destination when I was in high school.
Agree with the succeed. Played casual and had success the past few years.
But being just me and being blessed with great health and in the best shape I been in the past 10 years. I decided to really enjoy and focus on the game this year and forward. Tom Saguto as far as I am concerned is a God send for me this year.
So setting goals as in other things I endeavor to do. Setting goals and measurement and practice .
Goals:
Average around 80 and to be breaking 80 by seasons end ( this is doable because I have spurts. it is the consistent swing the needs to be learned)
In league play 22 weeks
50% in the money
30% wins
And to win my division 36 hole 2 day year end final flight
Lofty? Maybe but with dedicated practice and Mr. Saguto and golf brothers on this forum it can and will be done!
Hello Brooklyn !!! I grew up in New York City but made many trips to Coney Island and Manhattan Beach when I was much younger ! I, like you, want to succeed. Tom gives us the opportunity to do that. He really wants us to succeed.! Glad you are doing better, every little bit of success in golf helps. The beauty of Tom is having him at our fingertips whenever we want. Having a personal purpose everyday is such a good thing.
Thanks
Thanks Tom,
Just downloaded the V1 app. Do you need to have a subscription to use it? Being Feb. and snowy and - 2 right now haven't done more than explored it. Pretty reasonable yearly cost I see, just wondering,
