If you all don't mind me asking. I run into all kinds of fine people from all walks of life on the links and who knows, maybe we are in each other's backyard and we can team up on the course for a round. I'll start. I reside in PA, about 60 miles north of Harrisburg primarily in the Coal Region and Susquehanna Valley. I am a "WE ARE...PENN STATE" fan.

Played my first round today since starting the school and working methodically from the beginning. I had thought I’d hit great shots in my life but today I surpassed my wildest expectations but only some of the time. I have a taste for crispy KFC now I’ve experienced it for the first time.
Things I’ve learned so far which have made a difference already…grip wasn’t quite right, ball position was inconsistent, I’ve been rushing the downswing and have had bucket loads of tension my whole golfing life.
I’m drilling every day to find more saucy doughnuts.
Good to meet you all.
I am located close to Cincinnati Ohio.

I'm from Bermuda, I've improved a lil bit, but don't get out to play as much to improve more

Greetings from Fuquay Varina, NC, just south of Raleigh. Just joined the online school a couple of weeks ago after following Tom's YouTube videos for a while. The long hair caught my attention initially. Then to find out he was a guitar player and Skynyrd fan to boot (the kid was raised right) how could I resist. 😉 Been playing again for about a year and a half after a 20 year hiatus to raise kids. With the help of the YouTube videos I've been able to get my handicap (it's currently 13) back to near what it was when I stopped playing back in 2002. My goal is to get it under 10 this season with the help of the online school.😎
Hi all
I‘m from New Zealand and ready to feel weird making the necessary swing changes following Tom’s system after years of thinking I was swinging the club correctly and it being a lottery from one shot to the next whether I hit it half decent or not.
Cheers

Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself and say how much I look forward to interacting with as many of you as I can. I’m an older guy (72 now) but in reasonably good shape. I live in a small town about an hour south of Fort Worth, TX. To Tom, thank you for this program and for your fun and easy going personality. Just the kind of guy I’d like to sit down and have a beer with. Good luck to you Tom with this program. Looks like you are off to a good start. I’ll be shooting some videos to send you soon. I hope all of you become the golfers you dream to be. Best of luck to you all.

Any guy from Oahu here following Tom's incredible useful and entertaining lessons?

I started using Toms free tips and had my best game ever and definitely had to join to continue to improve and learn!!. I live in Golf Heaven with over 700 holes of Golf here in The Villages .We have more then 40 9 hole executive courses and a dozen 27 hole Championship courses which is more then anywhere else in the world in one community so Golf is a way of life here!!!. Thanks Tom for showing me a better way to play Golf!!

North Dakota here! I just completed the Sagutogolf program and am making the most consistently solid shots in my 30+ years of golf. I have never been more excited to get out and play! Just like Tom says "Life's too short for bad golf."
PGA West here. Alcatraz #17 on the PGA West Stadium Course is probably the most intimidating hole I've ever played. #16 at the La Quinta Resort Mountain course is also daunting....tons of rocks and a postage stamp green.
Welcome to this great forum community. @jdoug21!!
Yeah, that's the thing about this game - it just never completely lets go of us. 😎
The good news is that you're in the right place if you're looking for a swing that will go easy on your back. Below is some preliminary advice to help you get off to a good start in the school. I'd like for you to pay particular attention to #1 at this juncture because the proper setup for this swing is critical to invoking its body-friendly attributes.
1) Regardless of a member's skill level, this swing necessitates a complete reboot for someone transitioning from a shift & lift swing (which is typically the case), and therefore it is imperative that one take sufficient time to ensure that the fundamental components are mastered. From the ground up there is nothing superfluous in the Stack & Tilt swing - in other words, everything with a purpose, and a purpose for everything. (For example, contrary to shift & lift where you may be taught to keep your trail foot perpendicular to the target line as a means of "creating resistance" in your trail side, in S&T we flare both feet out 10-20 degrees in order to facilitate a free flowing, inclined hip and shoulder turn.) I cannot emphasize this enough, as frustrations predominantly occur when students jump ahead in the curriculum without properly dedicating themselves to the foundational base upon which our consistently repeatable, powerful, low maintenance swing must be built. Chapter 1 of the Golf Swing Simplified program (GSS) and Part I of Get Out & Go Play (GOGP) both address this.
2a) GSS: One of the many great things about this swing is that you can achieve solid ball striking even at the most basic levels. This is why I oftentimes will suggest that students park themselves on Chapter 2 of the GSS course for an extended period of time after locking down Chapter 1's foundational elements. Chapter 2 reinforces the body motions and the weight-forward component, and it culminates with what I call "The Best Golf Swing Practice Drill of All Time". Work yourself sequentially and gradually through the chapter, and then commit yourself to that drill in Lesson 2.8. Learn it. Practice it. Master it. You can even use this partially abbreviated swing on the course and play quite well with it as it will provide plenty of distance. (It actually is the full swing minus just a couple of power accumulators.) Once you've got that down, you will be well prepared to move forward in the curriculum and well on your way towards taking ownership of YOUR swing!
2b) GOGP: This quick-start program is exactly as it sounds - it is designed to fast-track you out onto the course so you can have fun - and success - playing as you learn! Should you choose this path, everything in #1 above still applies, and as implied above in 2a you will still want to work through it sequentially and gradually, mastering each lesson before moving ahead to the next one. In this program, Drill #5 - The Flying Wedge is the one you'll want to park yourself on and nail down.
3) Also, as you progress always keep in mind the V1 Swing Video Analysis service, an effective and inexpensive service that I highly recommend to everyone in the school. I liken it to bringing your swing into the shop for a tune-up or minor repair. Scheduling one on a quarterly basis for preventive maintenance will do wonders for keeping things humming along nicely, and it's also a great tool for pinpointing and resolving any issues that arise. The process involves downloading the free V1 app and then submitting two videos to me through the app - one down-the-line (captured from your stance line, not the target line) and the other face-on. You'll find more information about the V1 Analysis halfway down this page on the Saguto.Golf site.
We look forward to hearing from you regularly in the forum and assisting you through the school’s structured lessons and drills towards building a consistent, low maintenance, powerful, body-friendly swing that will bring your enjoyment of this great game to a new level!
Hello all, I live in Memphis, TN. 60 years old with a bad back and a passion for golf. Maybe I should start fishing more? Have tried, but Golf, it lets me out and "pulls me back in!"
I'm in Huntsville, Alabama. I look forward to hearing and learning from each other.
I'm in Franklin, MA. I think I'm the only woman to take part in these chats, (though this is only my third time). Are there any more women doing S&T in Tom's school?
If you're out there, don't be shy.
I took 2 lessons from Tom in January, and have been working hard since I came home. I know the system thoroughly in my head, but, as many of you know, it's not so easy to get it into the body. I found a certified S&T instructor on Cape Cod, and make the hour trip every other week to see him. He knows Tom's course, so it's really easy to communicate.
I play in two women's leagues, and got my first league birdie two weeks ago, and have gotten a couple of pars. Before this year, anything below double par was a triumph for me. I am a happy golfer now.😊
I play those courses at least once per year with a travel group that plays on Wednesday's. I live and play at Penn National golf courses in Franklin County.
I have to tell you stack and tilt has changed and improved my golf game 10 fold. after only 3 weeks. It just fits my body type and personality I was working with MO Norman swing for 5 plus years. It was hit and miss for me, more miss, and I was never able to groove that swing and be consistent. Immediately when trying stack and tilt it clicked and I hit many crispy shots 1st time at the range and playing. Still a swing in progress but I am the most confident when walking on to first tee that I've felt in years.
Still looking for feeling on 1st move to start down swing and working to completely finish the swing. I want to see where ball is going before I finish the swing.
Amazing stack and tilt isn't taught by more pros! Getting weight moving from back side to lead side is much more difficult than stack and tilt. I wish I had found S&T many years ago.
If you ever make it back to Pa. I'd love to get a private lesson from you. You have a great You Tube site and fun instruction and great instruction program. Keep up the great work!
I live in {Pa south of Harrisburg
I second everything Tom wrote. It is a process and you have to stay committed. I’ve been a part of the program for several months now and I try to do my drills twice a day in the garage. I have set up a drill station using a Acu-Strike indoor training mat. I stand on a front door entry mat to level my feet with the training mat. I don’t hit a ball, I just swing and hit the mat. The mark on the mat let’s you know the direction and bottom of my swing. My swing is improving and I’m excited to add the power accelerators
.
Cheers mate. I’ve just started going through the lessons - so far so good. i Do like Toms approach, I am finally getting it!
Bristol UK fellas
Thanks! It’s my first and only grandsons first birthday! Looking forward to both that and the golf!!
Love your work!

Don't have quite that ambition. But My closest friend in this world started a mission in Malawi Africa some 15 years ago and have been there twice thus far.
Even though a 3rd world country and 3rd poorest in Africa, believe it not seen 2 golf course there! One is a former wild animal preserve from the days when British had Malawi, still some zebra's and gazelles and like that roam the course! So, next time I go to Malawi he is going to set a day for me to play there, just so I can say played on another continent.
Even though I've been to Europe, Asia and Africa only place I ever played was North America. As those trips were for mission work and spreading the Word even though it was undercover sometimes due to the places.
Just sharing.
I’m in Kansas City (more specifically Overland Park, Kansas). I play a lot of golf here, but I’m a part of a group that has a goal of playing golf in all 50 states. 15 down and 35 to go.

Hi SagutoGolfers!
I am from Germany but live in Honolulu. Playing golf here at least 4x a week. 2x 18 holes on the weekends and 2x 9 holes after work. Tom's approach of teaching golf helped me a lot. Now I subscribed to his online classes as a reward for him helping me to improve my game by watching his free YouTube tutorials. It looks like that I am breaking 80 soon and credits go about 63.8% to his account :).
Anyone from Honolulu here? Happy to connect. Let's go on a round together!
Aloha,
Daniel

Welcome, David Allison, you won’t be disappointed with the SAGUTO Training Program. I am from California and love golf. I used to have low golf scores too when young and I am returning to better scores and more fun. Staying out of the trees. LOL.
I'm from Mobile AL. Just joined up about a week ago and I'm already seeing significant improvement just going through the grip and stance sections. When I was in High School I played a lot of golf, made the school golf team, and got my handicap down to as low as 5. After finishing graduate school and getting a job (Geology Professor) I just haven't had any time for playing golf, but as I get close to retirement (I'm 63) I'm ready to get back into it. I thought I could get my swing back in shape with a 4 or 5 weeks on the practice range, 4 to 5 times a week. Boy was I wrong! I suspect I have always had some significant swing flaws that in my younger years I could compensate for by being more athletic- but not so much now. I'm already feeling like the membership fee is paying off in a big way.

Thanks Tom. I have been considering that. I'll let you know when I'm ready.

Palm Harbor, Florida. More specifically, Innisbrook Golf Resort, home of the Valspar Golf Tournament that Sam Burns won a few months ago. I went to the tournament on Friday and Saturday. I planned on following Phil M on friday, but I'm not 6'5" to be able to see over the crowds, so I settled for 2 holes. One hole he had like a 60 foot putt uphill, he left it like 15-20 feet short, ouch. So he missed the cut and then turned around a few weeks later and won another major. That's golf!
I'm from SW Iowa, specifically Bedford, IA. Definitely not a golf capitol!
