If you all don't mind me asking. I run into all kinds of fine people from all walks of life on the links and who knows, maybe we are in each other's backyard and we can team up on the course for a round. I'll start. I reside in PA, about 60 miles north of Harrisburg primarily in the Coal Region and Susquehanna Valley. I am a "WE ARE...PENN STATE" fan.

Shropshire, UK. 11 handicap, serial fatter and thinner particularly with wedges.
Played my first round today since starting the school and working methodically from the beginning. I had thought I’d hit great shots in my life but today I surpassed my wildest expectations but only some of the time. I have a taste for crispy KFC now I’ve experienced it for the first time.
Things I’ve learned so far which have made a difference already…grip wasn’t quite right, ball position was inconsistent, I’ve been rushing the downswing and have had bucket loads of tension my whole golfing life.
I’m drilling every day to find more saucy doughnuts.
Good to meet you all.
Am pretty recently new to the site/methodology in the last few weeks, from Bellingham, WA - north of Seattle, almost to Canada. Am loving the new consistency to my swing - trying to go slow and steady through the material in the GSS course. Due to weather/work timing, am mostly hitting foam balls indoors, but the range is only 1/4 mile away, so I run out there whenever time and precipitation permit. Learning tons and loving it! Haven't played yet since becoming a member/student here, so I'm dying to get on the course!
Allentown PA here, new to the game.
25 minutes North of Cincinnati. But hopefully not for too much longer. In year 2 of the 5 year plan to get to the North Myrtle area (Cherry Grove). I need to get away from the cold for good.
I am located close to Cincinnati Ohio.

I'm from Bermuda, I've improved a lil bit, but don't get out to play as much to improve more

Greetings from Fuquay Varina, NC, just south of Raleigh. Just joined the online school a couple of weeks ago after following Tom's YouTube videos for a while. The long hair caught my attention initially. Then to find out he was a guitar player and Skynyrd fan to boot (the kid was raised right) how could I resist. 😉 Been playing again for about a year and a half after a 20 year hiatus to raise kids. With the help of the YouTube videos I've been able to get my handicap (it's currently 13) back to near what it was when I stopped playing back in 2002. My goal is to get it under 10 this season with the help of the online school.😎
Hi all
I‘m from New Zealand and ready to feel weird making the necessary swing changes following Tom’s system after years of thinking I was swinging the club correctly and it being a lottery from one shot to the next whether I hit it half decent or not.
Cheers
Steve

The San Joaquin Valley. The Bread Basket of the World but with diminishing returns because of an ongoing drought. But we have year round golf to balance things out. This course of Saguto will make you into a top player, so welcome to great ball striking!

Morning everyone, I’m here in Charlotte, NC…brand new to the school, just signed up today. Been watching the YouTube videos and they’ve literally changed my game, I’ve been shooting better with better contact (still a ways to go 🤣). looking forward to the journey!

Hello everyone...I live in Annandale VA just outside the Washington DC beltway. I signed up this week and will be heading to the range today to practice.
What’s going on my fellow crispy kfc lovers! Coming live to you from Seattle, WA.
Been absolutely addicted to this game since I picked up the sticks for the first time last month. Shot a 93 last weekend and took home my first birdie.
Cant wait for lots more crispy contact!!
Hello all. I just joined the school the other day and am looking forward to playing better golf. I live in Elk Grove, CA in Sacramento County. I found out about Tom through YouTube and found his teaching style entertaining and easy to understand. I decided to join the school because no matter how much I practiced using the free videos on YouTube I was still shooting in the upper 90s to 100. I'm hoping to lower my scores to below 90 or better. Nice to meet you all. Good luck everyone!

Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself and say how much I look forward to interacting with as many of you as I can. I’m an older guy (72 now) but in reasonably good shape. I live in a small town about an hour south of Fort Worth, TX. To Tom, thank you for this program and for your fun and easy going personality. Just the kind of guy I’d like to sit down and have a beer with. Good luck to you Tom with this program. Looks like you are off to a good start. I’ll be shooting some videos to send you soon. I hope all of you become the golfers you dream to be. Best of luck to you all.

I live in Golf Heaven with over 700 holes of Golf here in The Villages .We have more then 40 9 hole executive courses and a dozen 27 hole Championship courses which is more then anywhere else in the world in one community so Golf is a way of life here!!!. Thanks Tom for showing me a better way to play Golf!!

I'm from Denver. I quit my job in April and told myself I wanted to get my scores into the mid-80's. With some tweaking, I was able to go from an 18 to 12 handicap. I feel like I've been duct taping my swing and really want to find consistency in my game. After seeing a few of Tom's videos, I jumped on the bandwagon and am drinking the KFC koolaid or gravy.
Dinuba, CA. Central Valley from which we feed the world as an agricultural mega.
North Dakota here! I just completed the Sagutogolf program and am making the most consistently solid shots in my 30+ years of golf. I have never been more excited to get out and play! Just like Tom says "Life's too short for bad golf."
PGA West here. Alcatraz #17 on the PGA West Stadium Course is probably the most intimidating hole I've ever played. #16 at the La Quinta Resort Mountain course is also daunting....tons of rocks and a postage stamp green.
Boise Idaho here. Just starting the Saguto program and looking forward to some crispy KFC.
Welcome to this great forum community. @jdoug21!!
Yeah, that's the thing about this game - it just never completely lets go of us. 😎
The good news is that you're in the right place if you're looking for a swing that will go easy on your back. Below is some preliminary advice to help you get off to a good start in the school. I'd like for you to pay particular attention to #1 at this juncture because the proper setup for this swing is critical to invoking its body-friendly attributes.
1) Regardless of a member's skill level, this swing necessitates a complete reboot for someone transitioning from a shift & lift swing (which is typically the case), and therefore it is imperative that one take sufficient time to ensure that the fundamental components are mastered. From the ground up there is nothing superfluous in the Stack & Tilt swing - in other words, everything with a purpose, and a purpose for everything. (For example, contrary to shift & lift where you may be taught to keep your trail foot perpendicular to the target line as a means of "creating resistance" in your trail side, in S&T we flare both feet out 10-20 degrees in order to facilitate a free flowing, inclined hip and shoulder turn.) I cannot emphasize this enough, as frustrations predominantly occur when students jump ahead in the curriculum without properly dedicating themselves to the foundational base upon which our consistently repeatable, powerful, low maintenance swing must be built. Chapter 1 of the Golf Swing Simplified program (GSS) and Part I of Get Out & Go Play (GOGP) both address this.
2a) GSS: One of the many great things about this swing is that you can achieve solid ball striking even at the most basic levels. This is why I oftentimes will suggest that students park themselves on Chapter 2 of the GSS course for an extended period of time after locking down Chapter 1's foundational elements. Chapter 2 reinforces the body motions and the weight-forward component, and it culminates with what I call "The Best Golf Swing Practice Drill of All Time". Work yourself sequentially and gradually through the chapter, and then commit yourself to that drill in Lesson 2.8. Learn it. Practice it. Master it. You can even use this partially abbreviated swing on the course and play quite well with it as it will provide plenty of distance. (It actually is the full swing minus just a couple of power accumulators.) Once you've got that down, you will be well prepared to move forward in the curriculum and well on your way towards taking ownership of YOUR swing!
2b) GOGP: This quick-start program is exactly as it sounds - it is designed to fast-track you out onto the course so you can have fun - and success - playing as you learn! Should you choose this path, everything in #1 above still applies, and as implied above in 2a you will still want to work through it sequentially and gradually, mastering each lesson before moving ahead to the next one. In this program, Drill #5 - The Flying Wedge is the one you'll want to park yourself on and nail down.
3) Also, as you progress always keep in mind the V1 Swing Video Analysis service, an effective and inexpensive service that I highly recommend to everyone in the school. I liken it to bringing your swing into the shop for a tune-up or minor repair. Scheduling one on a quarterly basis for preventive maintenance will do wonders for keeping things humming along nicely, and it's also a great tool for pinpointing and resolving any issues that arise. The process involves downloading the free V1 app and then submitting two videos to me through the app - one down-the-line (captured from your stance line, not the target line) and the other face-on. You'll find more information about the V1 Analysis halfway down this page on the Saguto.Golf site.
We look forward to hearing from you regularly in the forum and assisting you through the school’s structured lessons and drills towards building a consistent, low maintenance, powerful, body-friendly swing that will bring your enjoyment of this great game to a new level!
Hello all, I live in Memphis, TN. 60 years old with a bad back and a passion for golf. Maybe I should start fishing more? Have tried, but Golf, it lets me out and "pulls me back in!"
Hi Again,
I'm from the Gold Coast region on the eastern seaboard of Australia. I joined yesterday, and started on the curriculum ...yes....my body feels weird doing the drills, so I must be in for some change.
I'm in Huntsville, Alabama. I look forward to hearing and learning from each other.
@herbandpaula welcome to the Forum. I am from Dinuba, CA.
I'm in Franklin, MA. I think I'm the only woman to take part in these chats, (though this is only my third time). Are there any more women doing S&T in Tom's school?
If you're out there, don't be shy.
I took 2 lessons from Tom in January, and have been working hard since I came home. I know the system thoroughly in my head, but, as many of you know, it's not so easy to get it into the body. I found a certified S&T instructor on Cape Cod, and make the hour trip every other week to see him. He knows Tom's course, so it's really easy to communicate.
I play in two women's leagues, and got my first league birdie two weeks ago, and have gotten a couple of pars. Before this year, anything below double par was a triumph for me. I am a happy golfer now.😊
Happy to be here! I so enjoy all the great posts and Tom's constant attention to the forum...very impressive!
I live in Joplin, MO (southwest corner of the state). Started working through the Saguto Golf School videos in April...what a great journey!
I play those courses at least once per year with a travel group that plays on Wednesday's. I live and play at Penn National golf courses in Franklin County.
I have to tell you stack and tilt has changed and improved my golf game 10 fold. after only 3 weeks. It just fits my body type and personality I was working with MO Norman swing for 5 plus years. It was hit and miss for me, more miss, and I was never able to groove that swing and be consistent. Immediately when trying stack and tilt it clicked and I hit many crispy shots 1st time at the range and playing. Still a swing in progress but I am the most confident when walking on to first tee that I've felt in years.
Still looking for feeling on 1st move to start down swing and working to completely finish the swing. I want to see where ball is going before I finish the swing.
Amazing stack and tilt isn't taught by more pros! Getting weight moving from back side to lead side is much more difficult than stack and tilt. I wish I had found S&T many years ago.
If you ever make it back to Pa. I'd love to get a private lesson from you. You have a great You Tube site and fun instruction and great instruction program. Keep up the great work!
I live in {Pa south of Harrisburg
I second everything Tom wrote. It is a process and you have to stay committed. I’ve been a part of the program for several months now and I try to do my drills twice a day in the garage. I have set up a drill station using a Acu-Strike indoor training mat. I stand on a front door entry mat to level my feet with the training mat. I don’t hit a ball, I just swing and hit the mat. The mark on the mat let’s you know the direction and bottom of my swing. My swing is improving and I’m excited to add the power accelerators

Joined about a week ago and live in North Louisiana. The area I live is very rural. I guess the closest college town is Natchitoches, home of Nothwestern State University Demons and where my wife and I went to college. I had seen stuff about S&T before but coming across Tom and his sense of humor while providing lessons on YouTube really got me interested.
DALLAS TEXAS, Well actually Royse City always looking for golfing buddies

Thanks! It’s my first and only grandsons first birthday! Looking forward to both that and the golf!!
I will be in Nashville later in the week and will be playing down there. I will have a person with me to take the video… I will send it in from there! Thank you!!
I am Pete from the Madison Wisconsin area! I signed up last summer but never made it over here. I was out of golf for 5 years and was just a casual player anyway. I started back up in August of 2020. Stated with hitting 110 or more. Last year started working on my swing and dropped all the way down to a 15.1 handicap! I am getting more consistent with the irons but my driver has not worked yet with S n T! Over the winter I picked up new irons and a new driver. I have been playing indoors and have scored a 70 and a 76. My dives have been great but at the expense of my back. hitting about 275 total and my irons are going crazy long but straight! My 7 iron is from 170 carry to 185 if I swing hare. New wedges are really long also. looking forward to this Swanson and playing outside… will get a chance to play in Nashville area next week. Outside my best rounds were 83,84 while at the end of the playing season my bad rounds were only 93-94. Most were 87-89. (That was with my driver only going 200 yards)
I would love to use the Stack and Tilt for my driver as well! Look forward to getting to know some of you as well!
Hey guys - have you watched Tom’s “Throwing the Club” session in Members Only?
Epic way to discuss Extension (Correct Sensei?) and reinforce the power of short shots when we were/continue to refine our shots!
I had heard about the idea of “Throwing the Club to the target” and of course the Watermelon but this session consolidates the compression and same spot ideas!
Love it!
Love your work!
@galloway8625
Don't have quite that ambition. But My closest friend in this world started a mission in Malawi Africa some 15 years ago and have been there twice thus far.
Even though a 3rd world country and 3rd poorest in Africa, believe it not seen 2 golf course there! One is a former wild animal preserve from the days when British had Malawi, still some zebra's and gazelles and like that roam the course! So, next time I go to Malawi he is going to set a day for me to play there, just so I can say played on another continent.
Even though I've been to Europe, Asia and Africa only place I ever played was North America. As those trips were for mission work and spreading the Word even though it was undercover sometimes due to the places.
Just sharing.
Outstanding! Let me know ever come this way, Westminster, just north of Denver, CO
Makes me think now how many different states have I played in?🤔
MA, NY, NJ, NH,NC,SC, CO,PA,MD.....have to ponder more but think that is it.
I’m in Kansas City (more specifically Overland Park, Kansas). I play a lot of golf here, but I’m a part of a group that has a goal of playing golf in all 50 states. 15 down and 35 to go.

Hi SagutoGolfers!
I am from Germany but live in Honolulu. Playing golf here at least 4x a week. 2x 18 holes on the weekends and 2x 9 holes after work. Tom's approach of teaching golf helped me a lot. Now I subscribed to his online classes as a reward for him helping me to improve my game by watching his free YouTube tutorials. It looks like that I am breaking 80 soon and credits go about 63.8% to his account :).
Anyone from Honolulu here? Happy to connect. Let's go on a round together!
Aloha,

Welcome, David Allison, you won’t be disappointed with the SAGUTO Training Program. I am from California and love golf. I used to have low golf scores too when young and I am returning to better scores and more fun. Staying out of the trees. LOL.
I'm from Mobile AL. Just joined up about a week ago and I'm already seeing significant improvement just going through the grip and stance sections. When I was in High School I played a lot of golf, made the school golf team, and got my handicap down to as low as 5. After finishing graduate school and getting a job (Geology Professor) I just haven't had any time for playing golf, but as I get close to retirement (I'm 63) I'm ready to get back into it. I thought I could get my swing back in shape with a 4 or 5 weeks on the practice range, 4 to 5 times a week. Boy was I wrong! I suspect I have always had some significant swing flaws that in my younger years I could compensate for by being more athletic- but not so much now. I'm already feeling like the membership fee is paying off in a big way.
Living in Kildare, Ireland. I'm a regular contributor of balls to the water here https://www.rathcoregolfclub.ie/
Considering what I was taught thirty five years ago, I'm now astounded at the simplicity of a proper golf swing. Having being following Tom's youtube videos for the past month and attempting to build a swing, the final piece of the jigsaw of the key elements fell into place today - the downswing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuv4DMeG2Bg If you were stranded on an island this would be all you need. I look forward to posting my first swing video in a few weeks / months - definitely this year 😀

Hey Ken, welcome to the land of Crispness and Mashed Potato!
In answer to your question - this bloke is from Australia, currently living in Sydney and waiting to return to Italy after summer over here!
You would understand what a warm day still feel like too!!!
Happy Christmas if we don’t speak till after the weekend
Thanks Tom. I have been considering that. I'll let you know when I'm ready.

I’m new here and have been working on S&T for about one month. I’m in Savannah, Georgia where we play golf all year round.

Thanks. Confused me at first, also.
Just moved to St. Augustine, FL. Playing local courses to get a feel of the area. I did join the Palm Harbor Golf Club MGA. Great group of golfers that meet every Wednesday for a tournament using various tournament formats. Course is very nice. I also played Cypress Knoll yesterday. Nice layout with fast greens.
Plan to play Grand Reserve next.
Reply to let me know if you live in the area.

I am from the Agricultural Bread Basket of the World - Central Valley of California, Dinuba, CA. Believe it or not, I play golf in the heat.
Hey guys, my name is Marc -and live in Australia or Marco when I am in Italy.
Yesterday was Day 1 of my formal Saguto schooling and I am amazed to see so many things that I “missed” in golf classes - or were presumed I already knew!
Once I got over that, started hitting short S&T shots effortlessly I am stoked!
At day ! I am still a long way from scratch but hopeful to head south of 13 and have fun!!!
Like all of you, keen to see if there are and Team Saguto members in Sydney or in Toscana.
Welcome, Casey, I too have come from the Land of Slicers. However, the Saguto Swing Training is putting me in the Straight and Narrow. I am giving up on the Old Man of bad shots and habits. KFC shots is the way to go and my stumbling on Tom’s YT channel is a great experience.
Thanks Tom and fellow Saguto Golfers! #crispy #sauceboss 🍻
Hi fellow SagutoGolfers! I’m a new member, it’s great to be part of the community! I live in Temecula, CA (hour north of San Diego). Temecula is a popular tourist destination for it’s wineries, but it has also grown to be known regionally for great golf as well. There are 5 awesome courses in town that anyone can play! Lots of variety and great quality for the price! I play mid week around 10:30-11am and it ranges from $50-70 for round w cart. Journey at Pechanga casino is the most expensive at $120 but the course is incredible and def my favorite. A must play if you are in the area! The weather is great here too, can play golf year round. Forecast for tomorrow is 90°! Even in winter it mostly around 60° to low 70°s. If any of y’all are ever in the area feel free to hit me up for recommendations on golf! Cheers to Crispy shots and good swing thoughts! Thanks Tom! I have already started to see improvements in my swing after watching your YouTube videos and now being enrolled in the golf school. I am a high handicapper weekday hacker, usually shoot high 90’s low 100’s. I have always struggled with an over the top, out to in swing, always slicing and losing distance (and golf balls haha) The videos have already helped me start to correct that and the last few times I played, I hit some of the straightest shots I EVER have hit! haha Even hit a few that actually went…Left?!?! Haha that was a great feeling to actually hit a nice draw instead of my usual slice! I still have lots of work to do, and a long way to go, but I feel like I am definitely on the right path after being lost out in the forest for so long! (Literally and figuratively!) 🤣
Journey hole #6 (200 yds to carry the ravine from white tees)
Journey hole #14
Red Hawk GC, island green signature hole # 8 par 3 white tees is 135 (usually wind coming straight at you)

I am a new member as of October 13, 2021, and live in Dinuba, CA, Central Valley, where we have record breaking triple-digit weather and are the Fruit/Vegetable Capital of the world. We feed the world. I have been playing golf since U. S. Navy days (1969-1973). I am married with 2 beautiful daughters; 2 cats; and 1 dog. Started learning to play from a Range Course Guide on the Island of Guam. My clubs: Wilson Staff blades, and I carried my own bag; played 18 holes every day; and, 36 holes on weekends. I had a great military Supervisor!. I am real happy to learn and play golf the right way with Tom SAGUTO, PGA Professional.

Palm Harbor, Florida. More specifically, Innisbrook Golf Resort, home of the Valspar Golf Tournament that Sam Burns won a few months ago. I went to the tournament on Friday and Saturday. I planned on following Phil M on friday, but I'm not 6'5" to be able to see over the crowds, so I settled for 2 holes. One hole he had like a 60 foot putt uphill, he left it like 15-20 feet short, ouch. So he missed the cut and then turned around a few weeks later and won another major. That's golf!
I'm from SW Iowa, specifically Bedford, IA. Definitely not a golf capitol!
