My LPGA instructor and I had this conversation yesterday. The topic was "why do folks struggle with the lateral slide in the golf swing?" Do they focus too much on the ball, or do they think it's complicated?
So she said to try this at home:
Stand straight, fold your arms across your chest, stand 4 inches from a wall with your lead side closest to the wall, then move your lower body towards the wall and hit the wall, much like the 70's dance "bump" move. That's the lateral slide.
Is that too easy? LOL.
