Just in the past couple days I started having some issues with consistency. Nothing major, but just not quite right. I call them the "almoster" shots. I recorded myself, analyzed as best I could, and still just wasn't quite striking like I wanted.
So what did I do? I went back to the lessons and reviewed some of Tom's drills I had already somehow forgotten. Drill #3 - Shoulder Down saved the day! Focusing on pointing my lead shoulder at the ball really helped to stabilize my body and keep my head "still". It also REALLY helps me achieve the proper amount of tilt. My launch monitor said I had logged over 280 shots before I figured my addiction to the crispy feel had been satiated.
It never ceases to amaze me how something so simple can have such a profound effect!
That's the intelligent way to go about it, @KFC_Kyle. You've just made a big step towards taking ownership of you swing!! The answers are all out there. It's now a matter of self-diagnosing the issue and then administering the appropriate prescription. Mission accomplished. Crispiness restored. Well done!!
