Played league and hit 7-9 greens. I got up and down on one of the missed greens…and still shot a 40.
20 putts in 9 holes. Holy Hell, maybe I should try stack and tilt for my putter.
The good news, over the past 10 days (club distances…and over last 30 days, my game compared to a scratch golfer.
Technically my putting is very close to numbers of a scratch golfer. I have just been on a bit of a bad stretch. Here are my numbers from last 15 rounds. But if I look over last 50 rounds, I three putt less than a scratch golfer, 1 putt less and 2 putt more. From a scoring perspective, I have to start making more inside 10 ft birdie putts.
I had putting problems about 5 months ago with roughly 40 putts. Mostly leaving putts short. I worked on it and put my index finger down the side. I don't add any extra to it but I think it gives an extra push without changing my tempo. Additionally I remove the pin on short putts so I can put it to the back of the cup. Putts now are 26 to 31 a round.
@Russell Hogue, PhD very impressive indeed. For me to score those numbers , I would have to rent a room at the Club House.
A lot of fantastic stuff in those numbers, @Russell Hogue, PhD! (But 20 putts???... Yikes! 😬)
Wish I had those distances! But am happy with mine, I know key is to know your clubs and game! And we all have short games days like that. Really stinks especially when you can't seem to understand why it's happening. Just hang in there in hit the putting green.
Note: just hit enough rounds to activate Arccos caddie, be interesting to see it today in tournament mode in league play.
