I have been practicing and practicing, I do well with my practice swings with no balls at home with my practice mat but live practice or actually games I thin it every time. When I actually hit it clean it’s a rockets, people are impressed but that’s not often. It’s so bad I don’t get invited to play anymore lol sad but true.

@Dominique James What's the divot like?
@Dominique James - Assuming you have mastered the foundational elements in Chapter 1 (which is absolutely essential, because they do differ from your previous swing and you will struggle to learn this swing without the proper setup) and you have properly learned the various body motions (tilting, turning, extending), then the following drills should help:
1) The 90% Weight Forward/Arms Straight Drill is not an easy drill, but it is very effective, so be sure to spend sufficient time to properly learn, execute, and master it. You'll know you're doing it properly when impact is consistently crispy, divots are occurring past the ball, and ball flight is a repeatable little push-draw.
2) The Flying Wedge Drill.
3) The Best Contact Drill.
Additionally, you may wish to give some thought to the V1 Swing Video Analysis - an effective and inexpensive service that I highly recommend to everyone in the school. This enables me to put my eyes on your swing and offer some very specific observations and corrective action plans if applicable. I liken it to bringing your swing into the shop for a tune-up or minor repair. Scheduling one on a quarterly basis for preventive maintenance will do wonders for keeping things humming along nicely, and it's also a great tool for pinpointing and resolving any issues that arise. The process involves downloading the free V1 app and then submitting two videos to me through the app - one down-the-line (captured from your stance line, not the target line) and the other face-on. You'll find more information about the V1 Analysis halfway down this page on the Saguto.Golf site.
Beyond this, as @Rudi (from Munich) says, it is very important to actually hit balls as often as possible when practicing because the ball is going to provide the instant feedback we need, both in terms of impact quality and shot shape.

The answer is in your question. Practice with a ball is the truth. The golfball is the problem in this sport. Serious, you can hit it good sometimes, perfect preferences for a training with a ball. If possible buy a net. My experiences with the "soft balls" are different, better than no ball, but a real ball gives more feedback, if it was good or perfect.
Dont misunderstand me, I love the practice without ball and without club, just to get the feeling of the bodymotion.
