Been studying and working with Tom's method for only a week. Senior golfer, 20-ish handicap, too many lessons and tips from too many people, until discovering Tom's YouTube videos. Went to the course today to give it a try, played 10 holes before bailing because of rain at Cougar Point, Kiawah Island Golf Resort, South Carolina. Tough breaking old (and probably bad) habits and need to work more with Tom's changes, but the initial results were pleasing and impressive: Short and mid irons: crisper and longer shots, on target; Hybrids (tricky for me): crisper and longer but hooking slightly, which is new for me (am I closing the club face?); Driver: Not bad and not a long hitter but need to work on more distance; Off the green and putting: Pretty good with this as is, work on it a lot; Greenside bunker: Got in once and out nicely for a 5-foot putt, using Tom's tip NOT to lay the sand wedge so open. Thank you, Tom. Comments welcome. What should I be working on based on this outcome?

@rmalaspina - With that type of ball striking after just one week, I'd suggest you just keep doing what you're doing. Nice job!!
I've pinned your post to give it more visibility in the community and perhaps garner you a few more responses, but it all sounds positive so far to me.
With regard to hooking the hybrids, we will need a little more shot shape detail in order to narrow down the potential causes, as the ball's starting direction is just as critical as the curvature. I wouldn't worry too much about this now given your impressive results and the fact that success with the longer clubs does tend to lag behind the short- and mid-iron performance. However, if the hooking issue does not resolve itself in the next few weeks, then be sure to also let us know if the ball is starting on the push side and overdrawing, starting at the target and hooking, or starting to the pull side and diving further
Sorry about the weather-shortened round at a beautiful venue. It's certainly been more than a bit unstable here the past couple of days!
Keep up the great work and have fun out there!
