Winter in Canada is frustrating having to work for a living here means I cant just jump in a RV and head for the sun no matter how much I want too..so I need an alternative and for now its the virtual range.
i have definitely lost power with the driver already though the rest of the clubs seem to be more or less where they were at towards the end of the season
hybrid also feels good still
what are the problems with simulated golf? Will i suffer at the start of next season or is this good for my game?
i am in the process of building my own studio here at the house, with Mevo+ (as recommended by @Tom Saguto)but I really want to know the benefits
heres a few shots, accuracy seems to be easier..

Shoot! Country Elite Mats other than the strips are currently out of stock.
simulator definitely helped my game. Along with Tom's guidance. I do the towel drill that Tom mentioned. Understand the club and shot data its invaluable. I use a SkyTrak for I don't have room for radar based systems like Mevo+. for sure get yourself a good mat to prevent shoulder, elbow and/or wrist injuries. i've been using this one for almost 3 years with no issues. https://www.wittekgolf.com/Quattro-Mat
@Bazza Clarke - I don't see how you'll "suffer" by making swings in the off-season. Just know that mats tend to do a great job of masking poorly struck shots, so once you have your home studio set up here are a couple of different suggestions that can help you discern between crispy and soggy impact:
1) Get yourself an old hand towel and fold it in half. Place it no more than 2 inches behind your ball, thereby requiring you to miss the towel and make ball first contact on your downswing. As you improve, move the towel closer to the ball. The small thickness of a one-half folded towel will not impede your backswing takeaway.
2) Put down a thick chalk line or some inexpensive spray foot powder on the mat about an inch in front of the ball. Try to hit the ball first and then the chalk or powder. The mark on the mat - or lack thereof - will give you instant visual feedback.
Also, if you've not yet bought one, don't skimp on the mat for your at-home facility. For example, I have a Real Feel 3x5 Country Club EliteĀ® Golf Mat. I love the feel of it as well as its durability. You can visit them here - www.RealFeelGolfMats.com. If purchasing be sure to use coupon code "SAGUTOGOLF" (without the quotes and no spaces) at checkout to claim your special SagutoGolf discount on the Country Club EliteĀ® series of mats.
As for power loss, if you search "speed training" and "superspeed" in the Forum you'll see what some fellow members are doing in this regard.
better check that hybrid link... ;)
