Hey Saguto Golfers and Golfettes, are any of you planning to play in the World Amateur Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC this year? I'm thinking about taking my new S&T swing and seeing what I can do there.
I think it would be really cool if we could drop in on @Tom Saguto and take him out to dinner or maybe get a group tune-up lesson while we are there, or both. The tournament website is https://myrtlebeachworldamateur.com
The dates are August 29th - September 1st. The website has other lead-up dates posted pertaining to sending in your GHIN handicaps and other deadlines.
Reply if you think this would be a good idea.
Tom, regardless of response, I would like to get a tune-up lesson on Friday, 26 Aug. Let me know if that is possible.
@burkholder.ronald - Looks like my friends are not going to be staffing a booth at the World Am this year, and since I have a trip coming up later next week I'm probably not going to make it up to Myrtle for the 19th Hole. Do you have any rounds down in the Pawleys Island area? I'd be happy to meet you for a beer or something. Earlier in the week would be best as I depart on Thursday 9/1.
@Ronald Burkholder - Sounds like a fabulous opportunity for you and others in the school as it is a very well run and fun tournament for golfers of all ages and abilities!
As for the lesson, at this juncture I will no longer be offering in-person private instruction after April due to online school demands on my available time. I will post any updates or changes in this regard on the Saguto.Golf website as well as here in the Forum.
I will pin your post to draw more attention to it. Please keep me abreast of developments and interest level in this great idea!
