@lasseia - A big part of this is gaining enough trust in your swing so that when you are on the course you are playing golf and not "golf swing", with the latter cluttering your mind with mechanical thoughts. This does not happen overnight.
My game is at the point where I trust my swing, and as a result I am completely target-focused when playing. I recognize a hazard that may come into play and factor it in to planning my shot, but its existence does not consume my thought process. I still pick a very specific target - for example, not just a distant tree but a small branch on that tree - commit to the shot, and let it go.
Have patience with yourself. Some day - perhaps sooner than you think - you'll find yourself appreciating the beauty of that water hazard or get inside the course designer's head and understand why he let that tree on the dogleg, placed that fairway bunker where he did, or contoured the fairway in a particular manner.
Have you seen my videos??? And you're asking ME for mental help???..🤣🤣🤣
My best suggestion is that you pick up a copy of the book Fearless Golf: Conquering the Mental Game by Dr. Gio Valiante. It's chock full of useful game management and mindset detail that you can put into play immediatel.! This book has been an extremely valuable resource for me personally.
Thanks for your personal observations. Your wisdom is beyond your years. The book looks like a good read. Thanks
