it was a cold day, but we got out to play. Now, 75 isn’t the most impressive since we played the white tees on the front and blue on the back, but we played a tough Jack Nicklaus course where misses get pretty penal. We played it at about 6400 yards.
40 on front 9 with 2 3jacks. Back nine 35 (-1).
Best part about today, is there were several opportunities to be better scoring. I missed some greens from inside 100 yards.
it’s clearly time to get on the launch monitors and figure out my distances.
Still, super enjoyable.
The entire round, I lined up left side of fairway and hit a push draw. Played from fairways all day. I even played some holes, including two par 5’s with irons off the tee just to take trouble out of play even though it was going to mean longer approach shots.
Gonna be a good year.
I am going to be in SC in a few weeks so hoping it warms up. We will be playing in Myrtle and Charlotte. Gonna try to get to your course one day too. Hopefully we can catch up so we can meet in person while I am out there.
Nice and smartly played round, @Russell Hogue, PhD!! I'm glad to know that you were able to get out this time of the year. They even had to shut us down here at the SC coast this past weekend due to ice and unreasonably cold temps. I know, I know - I can hear those sad violins playing for my troubles, and I sincerely appreciate it......😎
