I'm struggling with consistency off the tee on short par 3's in the 100-130 yard range. From this range do you use a Steve Stricker style no hands approach like with your pitching technique? Do you use a narrower stance like in a p itch shot? At what yardage do you typically narrow you stance from a standard full shot? I'm losing shots every round on what should be easy holes. Tnx!

Thanks! I need a steeper shoulder turn for sure along with adjusting ball position back. I also need to rewatch the chest down drill as I am coming out of the shot especially on water holes which are my Kryptonite. the help!
@kelton4 - I'm guessing that you still have a full swing club in your bag for those yardages, so except for conditions that might call for a particular type of specialty shot you should just be able to make your typical short iron adjustments - narrower stance and perhaps a ball position toward the middle of your stance line - and just make your swing. Also, check your shoulder plane at the top with the short irons; as the shafts get shorter and the ball consequently gets closer to you, the angle of shoulder inclination to the ground should naturally get progressively steeper (i.e.: think in terms of "point the lead shoulder at the ball").
