Hi everybody. I've been mainly working on Set Up, Alignment and keeping upper arms connected. Apart from my swing having a gradual tendency to get too steep, I struggle mainly with a natural habit of aligning way too far right with feet and shoulders... After letting all of Tom's instruction sink in, I've been mostly playing rather than hitting the range this year. I did a lot of range work last year.
For the last 3 weeks, I've played a Par 68 course 5 times and shot 83, 83, 84, 84 and 86, with 7i, W and Putter. My plan is to get consistent with 7 iron and then go gradually longer. Plus you can fit an extra couple of beers in the bag with only 3 clubs! So, all has been happy. Until Yesterday. All Bogeys and Pars on the front 9 and then 1 bad shot on 10th fairway and everything fell to pieces. I had taken a video on 8th hole of what I think of as reasonably representative of my normal swing, and then took another on the 14th just before I walked off the course......
Video 1 I can see my swing is starting to get steep, but was a decent hit, and I think the problem in Video 2, which was the outcome of every shot for holes 12,13, and 14......, is alignment and takeaway?
Any thoughts would be very gratefully received. Glad it's too hot here to play today!!
Thanks, Tom. Elbows and arms clamped to sides got me back to 17 over again. Now to try and get my lower body moving and sort out my 15 Yard power fade with Driver. Cheers! Adam
