Thx. I guess i have misunderstood the rehinge and the drill in S&T book on side 153, because they talk about rehinging the wrist at the follow-through ... and vertical club ... to many foreign languages for me English AND Golf, 🙈
Where's the conflict, Rudi? I rehinge in the follow-through as well, but in order to hinge and rehinge there also must be an unhinging, correct? Have a look at this YouTube channel video.
Let's try not to micromanage the swing - it's already difficult enough!
@Rudi (from Munich) - While I don't speak specifically about the wedge in this KFC Club video on the driver, my demonstration of the slight downward attack shows that I am keeping the wedge intact. As for rehinging, have a look at this lesson from the Power + Distance section.
try to built in the "grapefruitdrill" shown in kfc-club as extend your spine to hit it crispy.
This will help you to turn your hips and straightening your left leg a little bit earlier and avoids the overturning of the shoulders at the end of your swing.
Perhaps Tom can give us the link of a rehinge video ?
@Rudi (from Munich) - I touch on rehinging in this intro video on Power Source #2 (wrist power) in the Power + Distance section. As long as we keep our connections intact and don't flip through impact the rehinging should happen naturally.
@Tim Lloyd - As long as your family doesn't start greeting you in annoying Flipper the Dolphin speak, I would say the future is looking quite bright.....😎
Thank you Nocana, appreciate it. I have got the book and will focus on more extension in the finish. Yeah I have a fairly strong grip which is an issue….feels wrong opening the face up as just think it’s going to slide. Need to drill in the feel. I’ll try and post a face on vid as well
Same here. I've made my grip more neutral. The issue with a push draw is it has to start right and that makes people want to shut the face causing that big hook. Everything I work on it try to hit a straight ball. It's still a draw, but like a 1 yard draw.
I know what you mean. It’s a trust thing really which can only be turned into confidence through repetition and practiceSometimes when I try and fade it (face open) I hit a straight ball due to path (I think)Like I say it’s the confidence to that that open clubface feel but know the ball isn’t go to slice
My miss is a pull hook. I tend to early extend / move right hip and knee towards ball on the downswing and then path goes way in to out…..I’m working on more rotation and also aware I need to keep arms straighter in finish. Club face also pretty shut at top
@Tim Lloyd Ok. That can definitely be the reason for a pull hook. One thing I think would help with that is a bit more extension on the follow through. It looks like you sort of lose all the bend in your knee before you reach the ball. Even still, it's really not that bad. Think "tuck hips" from the S&T book if you've read it. That will also help keep the clubface squarer for longer through the impact zone.
You're face is a few degrees shut at the top, but that's probably more setup related. Maybe your hands need to move forward a bit or literally just open the face a bit. Your wrist hinge is great, so I wouldn't go trying to fix something that isn't broken.
Not bad. Cant see it cleary, do you lose the hing on the way down ?
Left knee seems to move back to the ball, so you would need a longer hip bump to get weight more forward. Perhaps try the trailbone to target drill. But I am not really sure.
You definitly should work on the finish. Drill #8 part II in the fast-track program.
It is said that the rehinge after impact is an additinal powersource.

Found Tom´s answer in Driver help responding to Twiggy on Mar 18:
"Should the wedge appear? Yes, only 2-3 feet after impact. Then, the wrists will rehinge the golf club to the finish."
@Tom Saguto In your answer you told us that you would make a video to explain this move.
Perhaps rehinging (after impact) was mentionned in the S&T book.
Something like retracking left shoulder.
Come to my age then you will see that some things don't happen naturally.

Excellent analysis as always, @Nocona Colt Abernathy!!
Face on view - critique away! @Rudi (from Munich) @Nocona Colt Abernathy
Strange the app isn’t letting me choose from camera roll for some reason 🤔

@llydisommma1 - Where is you miss and what are you trying to improve on? There's not a lot wrong with that swing.
Plenty of good things going on there, @llydisommma1! Are you able to add a face-on view to help fellow members in their analysis?
