Hi all, posting my first video here, been a member for about a year and I'm still shooting in the 60's for 9. My partner from league took this last night, any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Just my 2 cents - watch your head and look where your weight is going. Your head appears to be moving backwards and your weight is shifting to your back leg. That is probably part of the reason for the broken down arms. As some have said, work on the drills. Get the weight on the lead leg and don't move that head. Keep the arms together. I've been working on these drills. My arms were horrible before but are improving. Camp out here. Do not fast forward. Get the weight forward. Arms together. It's all there provided by Tom. Trust in it. Empty your tea cup and bring in the new stuff. :) https://saguto.golf/courses/1436366/lectures/33000982 (and no one said this was easy. If it was we would all be on tour and Tom would be out of a job. I've been here 2 years this month. The more I learn the more I see what I was doing wrong before. It's amazing I ever hit a golf ball well at all.)
Yes it is...just as valuable as all the drills and all the practice this here is part of my journey also! I will share some video's at beginning of week or so from home range still getting the vids to computer, didn't realize had to put camera sideways! lol
Look at you just at impack both arms are bent not straight and you didnt bump your hips.
Look at you after impact.. here both you arms should be completely straight out instead of straight out.. you have lost your shaft lean completely and also you have completely flipped... You should have a little bit of shaft lean through the follow through which promotes you getting that long dollar bill divot
@Dogger 2112 - Based on @ryen91's assessment and in the absence of a V1 analysis, the 90% Weight Forward/Arms Straight (two parts), Flying Wedge, and Best Contact (three parts) drills - all from the Get Out and Go Play program - would be appropriate to work on and master.
I still think the V1 is the best route for you, though, especially since you've been a member of the school for around a year.
@Tom Saguto I love how you say based on my assessment.. Like I it could be 100 percent wrong... BUT if you want to believe him then based on that I would do this.... LMAO... Nah I know you don't meant it like that... I just thought it was funny... ITS all love all the time here at the Saguto Academy... here at the Darkside... HAHA
@Dogger 2112 so you do what A lot of amateurs tend to do which is aligator arm your follow through... Some it is just one... I struggle with my lead arm on occasion.. I dont know what lesson it is on the lesson plan... But I suggested this to someone else.. there is a video on Sagutos youtube where he holds out an alignment stick just below shoulder height and and far enough out that the only way he can reach it is if both his arms are fully extended and you stop your swing right there at just below shoulder heightyour arms should remain extended and your trail wrist should stay cupped to promote shaft lean... I have been looking for it on youtube for 20 minutes but the second I post this it will be the next Video... @Tom Saguto I am sure you know what video I am talking about can you post a link to help him out.... BTW it will have amazing results.. start slow at like 20 percent on the range... and then gradually speed up... once you get it down you will notice 60-70 percent goes as far as your current 100 percent goes on full strikes
AND YOUR NOT A TERRIBLE GOLFER... YOU JUST HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO FIX... Now that you do.... You will fix it and improve.
@Dogger 2112 - There's actually quite a bit of good going on in your backswing. I'm confident that the specific lesson plan you'll get with the V1 will have you moving in the right direction pretty quickly.
Nice to see you posting here in this great forum community, @Dogger 2112!
While I personally refrain from offering swing video analyses here as it conflicts with my V1 service, I'm confident you'll find that many of the forum "regulars" have a solid knowledge of the swing and can offer very valuable insight from their respective experiences. If you do not receive any responses, I encourage you to look at some of the other posts in this section of the forum, see who some of the regular analysts are, and tag them here in your post (use the "@" sign and then start typing their name and the system will then give you the ability to choose that member - just like I did in tagging you at the top of this message).
It's time to get you out of the abyss and on the path towards consistently crispy ball striking bliss!!

Thanks Tom, I will be taking advantage of the V1 service too!
One thing for sure got to get those hands forward. your hands are way behind at contact. Believe me I know I was there .
Are you doing any of the courses and drills?
I know it's fun to get out and play but got to put in time at the practice facility and chipping and putting.
But definitely extensive work on the range with drills and alignment sticks.
Otherwise just going to reinforce bad habits and poor swing memory.
