So I have been to the range a couple times this is a video of what I'm working on just started last week.... I know my lead arm is quite straight and I release my hinge a smidgen to early.... But I am seeing results any help of what i don't see or any help with what I do see would be appreciated.. for the record this was a perfectly straight ball that went about 105-110 with my 56, swung line an 85 yard shot speed wise, but did a full swing for my 100 yard shot.. so like full swing but 3 quarter speed of that makes sense..

@ryen91 I just watched the swing several more times and you have a bunch of things that are really nice in that move. I love the arm extension in the backswing. The move was really well centered (close to being really good). Extension past the ball was nice. Getting close. Like I said, I would like to see the down the line angle because you are lowering down in the backswing and also, the last bit of turn definitely causes your center of mass to move backward (away from the target). That move right means on the downswing, you have to make a bigger lateral shift toward the target to get the low point past the ball. If you don’t get left, then the only way you are going to hit the ball first (as you did in this swing), is to either let the lead arm break down so you don’t drive the club into the ground before the ball…or really drive your hips forward and add more right tilt. Net/net, the backward move off the ball requires a shallowing move as the makeup for moving back. Others have already given good advice. My take would be, as you take the club back, the tailbone moves toward the target, not away from it. If you throw a ball, notice how you stride forward even as your arm is going backward. That same move needs to happen in golf swing and it has to happen BEFORE your body starts unwinding. You are getting close my man! Keep it going. A lot to like in your move.
Have others but having to learn how to trim....took a couple of different clubs but went on for 2 plus minutes and having issues getting the trim all the time. 😣
I'll jump in and post mine from today at Home Range. Don't know if I am ever going to beat that outside in totally with this shoulder but am making squarer contact.
Oh that shot went directly over my target about 10 yards further than my normal 56 would go. decent high ball flight as well
@ryen91 hey, i recommend getting two videos. One from exactly face on perpendicular to your target line. Camera should be at hand level. From down the line, same camera at hand level, put this time, parallel to target line…directly inline with hands at setup. Without the right angles, I am always hesitant to say too much because camera angles play tricks on you. As an example, a camera outside can make club appear inside and under…even if it’s perfect. Face on, if the camera is too far ahead, as it is in this video, you may have the appearance of more chickenwing than what is real. @Ronald Burkholder provided really solid advice based on what we see in the video.
https://youtube.com/shorts/gnsx6SwlqVU?feature=share this is the video at full swing... @burkholder.ronald @Tom Saguto I know you cant comment.. no worries once i feel I got a few things down... Im coming for an offical video I just thought a still of my me at Impact plus a video would be a plus instead of just video.. which is a dumb youtube short.. and you cant mess with play bar and back and forth to break it down
Here is me at impact clearly hit ball before ground and my tail arm is a little cupped and hasn't flipped yet so the flip comes after... Can anyone also help out with this still plus my
@Gerry_Lager so you think my hip not moving forward enough is causing the tad of a chicken wing on my lead arm... like I looked at that and was like well my hips did start moving forward at the start of the down swing there was a bump.... also I thought my head swaying back was due to a shoulder over turn.. cause I start with more weight on the front then I do on the back and I Feel like im doing that through out the whole swing, my right knee straightens and my left leg bends.... But I do notice my lead knee bends slightly to much inward and not straight down towards the toe.. like you mentioned so I need to work on my lead knee going more straight down which should result less in that swaying motion? I like your extra feedback its helping... but I always have more questiosn after haha
@ryen91 seems your results are getting what you like. Here's my take on your video. It seems the camera angle might be a bit off, like the camera isn't square to you stance. anyway...you may be swaying back a bit. Looks like your lead knee is bending away from the target indicating a backwards weight shift. Maybe flare your feet out a bit more and have that lead knee bend right over the lead toes. And extend so your head does not dip.
On the downswing it starts out ok then it appears the hips don't slide forward enough , they stall out, and causes your lead arm to break down...i.e. chicken wing, and hence you have to flip. ;) maybe try this drill? https://saguto.golf/courses/1436366/lectures/33006446
there are some guys on this forum that are better reviewers that me so hopefully they can provide more feedback.
