What does the SG community think of this rotation drill? Idea is to keep tailbone against chair throughout the swing. Right cheek on back swing, left at finish…never early extend and move away from chair. Thoughts?
@llydisomma1 - @Nocona Colt Abernathy has an excellent understanding of the swing, and he consistently delivers spot-on analysis and commentary that is aligned with S&T in general and my instruction specifically. As he has done so again here, I have nothing further to add to his reply!
I think that's an excellent drill. Pro's do not move their tailbones toward the ball like most amateurs; their hips stay back to clear the way for their hands so this drill should help with that.
Just make sure by focusing on keeping your tailbone back you don't let your weight shift back. Lead knee still need to go over lead toes and not toward trail foot.
