HI Tom & Saguto Crew!
So, I'm working on my drill assignment from my V1 Analysis and I have some questions.
1st, In the extension drill you talk about the shirt button toward the trail shoulder. Would this also give a feeling of pulling the shoulders back, chest forward, like trying to get a more proper standing posture?
2nd, in the lead arm away from the chest drill. Is the feeling that I remain at the top of the backswing with my hips and shoulders and just allow the arms to fall to begin the transition?
...and oh how you flatter me describing the top of backswing as "Hoganesque!" "...tell me more about my eyes...!" 😌
Nice Danny! Yes, Hoganesque was the only way I could really explain it. Post a picture of that backswing in the forum and see if other SagutoGolfers agree.
1 - I don't necessarily think of the extension drill as getting into a more proper standing posture. If you pull your shoulders back at setup and get the chest forward, I am visualizing that putting you in the classic "S" posture which places stress on the lower body and the back.
Shirt buttons to right shoulder is about getting the spine to properly feel the extend and tilt motions of the spine.
2 - yes, exactly. You want the QUIETEST lower body with the arms falling off of the chest.
Talk soon!
