I know the general rule is to get the ball on the green and rolling ASAP. Which I tend to agree with. Now to stick to that rule with no exception would mean using multiple lofted clubs, anything as low as a 6 all the way up to a lob wedge, that could be as many as 6-7 different clubs and lofts. I find that using basically 2-3 clubs suits me best, as I'm familiar with how the ball is gonna come off the face. I like to use my 8 iron, PW, and if necessary and the lie allows, my lob wedge(but I avoid using this unless I really have to). How about you guys?

@Rudi (from Munich) I am of the same mindset when Chipping onto the Green. I use a 56 SW from 40 yards “in” and the ball pops up and rolls out pretty good. Forward lean and divots when out 40 yards. i8 and i9 seem to run out fast and long….hard for me to master. So, will use what works!!! Trying to incorporate into my Short Game to bring my scores down. It is all about 80% Short Game to shave the strokes off.
