Am still plugging away. Lots of issues, and going back and forth between using some traditional weight shifting still, and trying Saguto S and T with weight forward.
My question is no matter if I go full Saguto and try to keep weight on front throughout back and downswing, or if I use more of a Hogan drag shift on backswing I can’t get my hips open or cleared the downswing.
It is too upright vs rotational and hips stay too closed and do not get 45 degrees open at contact. As you might guess this causes or contributes to lots of issues and reduces shallowing of club - contact is thin, slice, fat early extension, outside in,etc
Any videos or suggestions dealing with specifically with this?
Thanks.
Experimenting with a mini pivot on my lead foot which seems to open up the hips easier.
Weight goes toward my heel and outside of foot and foot kind of lifts slightly and foot ends up even more than 45 degrees open during downswing.
It mirrors my footwork in my baseball swing where I have no trouble shifting weight and getting hips open.
Seems to help anyway. But it does change my backswing depth and extension if I try to get to that position too quick.
Will keep working on it.
yea i really struggle with keeping my weight on my front leg. When I do I hit it great.. I need to figure out why I can't do something so simple
