I recently got the S&T book and wanted some clarification on something I came across.
When I read the word “lean” I automatically think a body lean to the left. I assume that is not correct since that would move my center point forward. Just curious if anyone could help clarify that or what they make of leaning into the left leg. Thanks!
@colton - Loading more pressure into the lead leg at the transition really sets things in motion for the downswing, but you are correct - this must be accomplished without losing your swing center. This is describing the lateral targetward movement of the lower body (the hips and knees) while the upper torso remains in place through impact.
