Last week, Tom did a video answering the question of where to focus on the ball (top,right,left,etc)
He focused on top of the ball..but the thing I noticed was his head DID NOT MOVE during the backswing! I realized my head was moving ever so slightly to the right -- just enough to change my
impact point. It took me only 10-15 swings keeping my head steady to hit the ball solid! Of course, you have to maintain all the other elements (straight left, shoulder turn,etc) --- amazingly enough, those
parts happen without much thought. Solid 74 today, striping the ball first, turf after. Hit 80% crispy today!
I worked on ONLY one focal point, head steady and let it happen. WOW!
@Daniel Boggs Wow!! Great score!!
With weight on left leg, left knee moves towards the ball, right leg starts to straighten out, shoulders turn down. This will automatically keep you in position over the ball. In fact, you feel like you moving in front of the ball. IMO, in front is ok but, behind is NEVER ok unless your a PGA Pro . The whole principle of S&T is to turn on/around our front post ( left leg).
Nice job figuring it out, @daniel.boggs, and a great round as well!! I'm glad to know that lesson clicked with you. I love that you whittled it down to just one swing thought for your round. There's a lot of learning in that statement alone!!
Keep it Krispy!!
